McDonald's recently released the McBaguette in France.  This has caused quite a stir, as many argue that a truly French baguette sandwich cannot be found at McDonald's.  Here is the ad: McDonald's McBaguette from TBWAPARIS on Vimeo .

The French 7 music video project, which has been in progress since February, is almost complete!  Mathieu from period 9, who has made some wonderful contributions to this project, has a message for everyone involved: I want to thank everyone who contributed to the music video! It is looking pretty good and i think you will enjoy it... There were some difficulties but we pulled through. Once again, thanks again to everyone who contributed! We will watch the finished project in class next week!

Today we welcomed Professor Ndiaye and his wife to Maple Avenue to share the culture, history, and cuisine of Sénégal.  Thank you to everyone who brought in food to share, and thank you to everyone for being such good listeners and asking such excellent questions.  We were very fortunate to have this opportunity!

Our latest project, adoptez un escargot, is underway.  You created some very interesting rooms for your snails to describe in French.  This room here as a real working microphone!  Here's what Jimmy the escargot says about his likes and dislikes: "J'aime jouer de la guitare.  Je n'aime pas faire du jogging."

Monday we learned about the French tradition of sticking fish on people's backs as an April Fool's joke.  While you colored your fish, you learned how to describe their color in French.  As you can see from the pictures, some of you tried out the trick right in class!

I was very impressed with your work on "Une histoire verbale," your books containing stories made with ER verbs.  Since they came out so nicely, you will have time later this week to browse other groups' stories you may not have had a chance to look at before.

Congratulations !  Bravo !  You participated in your first National French Contest!  As a treat for your hard work, we celebrated in class on Friday.  "Nous sommes tous des gagnants !"  We are all winners!

Excellent job on your "Dessinez une conjugaison" assignment!  It was interesting to see what objects you came up with to represent your verbs.
