Look at these great imaginary French text message conversations made by students using iFakeText, and using real texting expressions.       That's not a typo, Darth Vader is known as Dark Vador in French because the "th" in Darth is impossible for French speakers to pronounce.    

Look at these wonderful mini-posters!  Can you guess who the person is in each one?                

French Club had its first meeting of the year on Friday, and it was a huge success!  Over 40 students in grades 6-8 came to learn about our  club.  Students enjoyed meringues, croissants, and Perrier water, and participated in a trivia contest. If you couldn't make it, be sure to attend our next meeting on Friday, November 8!

You may skip any 3 equations on your next homework assignment if you post at least two items to the wallwisher.  Start or finish an equation using the French words for the numbers.  Follow my model. Don't forget to leave your initials and period! Created with Padlet

Babbel  is a great site to practice your French!  Thanks go to Mathieu, a student from last year, who found this wonderful site!  It is free to use, and offers different levels. In addition to French, you can learn over ten other languages using Babbel.

Here are some wonderful vocabulary entries for our first set of words!   

 A few more pictures...this time students are learning each other's names by stating the names of the members in their group using French, and in some cases, adding a gesture to make it more challenging!   If you don't see your class on the blog yet, it will be soon!  I don't always get around to every class during every activity to take a picture.
